XIAMEN CHINA • MUST TRY STREET FOOD
A weekend away to Xiamen, China (from Hong Kong) is only around an hour of a flight away!
While our main purpose of the trip was to visit the UNESCO listed Hakka Walled Villages (Tulou Clusters) located further inland of Fujian province (uploading those videos soon so be sure to subscribe!) we came via Xiamen and had a bit of time to wander around.
In this video, I’ll be sharing the street food we managed to fit in while walking around Xiamen’s Main Street – Zhong Shang Pedestrian Road (中山路步行街) | zhong shan lu bu xing jie).
Located in China’s south east, you’ll find that much of the street food we found in Xiamen had much influence from Taiwanese cuisine – due to the fact that geographically speaking Taiwan is just a bit east of Xiamen.
Asides from food there are other places to visit (like Gulangyu Island) however we didn’t get enough time so hopefully next time!
